Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 4:54:23 by Shahrukh SohailA player famous for his stint with the Manchester United academy, Etzaz Hussain is a regular with Fredrikstad in Tippeligaen and is seen as a potential star for Pakistan in the future.
The 19-year-old started his career with Langhus before his skills caught the attention of the Premier League giants. At Old Trafford, he signed on professional terms when he was 17 and although he himself stated that “it was an experience for life", he never
managed to break into the Red Devils’ first team.
Upon his return he signed with Valerenga, but soon left the club after they reportedly thought that he wasn’t good enough to make it in the League.
Etzaz, however, proved his critics wrong and after committing his future to Fredrikstad has been in sensational form, netting match winners against Molde and against his former employers.
Although he has represented the Norway U-19 team, the midfielder is of Pakistani heritage and is therefore eligible to play for the Green-Shirts on the International front.
His tender age means that is still yet to fully showcase his talents but considering what he has displayed over the past few months is a glaring reminder of his undoubted potential.
Pakistan should definitely look into the possibility of calling him up, as his class and caliber are something which the local lads just aren’t capable of emulating.
Etzaz Hussain is one of many upcoming talents with Pakistani talents but surely tops the list, as his stint with Sir Alex Ferguson’s side proves.
