Technology companies planning to boost SME’s

for the adoption of new technologies and in particular, programs in the cloud ( cloud computing ).
The initiative, called the Competitiveness Plan and has the support (not financial) of the Ministry of Industry, lasted for the last three years and is aimed at three million SMEs and freelancers, with an investment of 30 million
Euros that will mobilize development companies.
"The goal is one million SMEs actually join the program," said Maria Garaña, president at Microsoft.
It is that SMEs who can improve their productivity by becoming more efficient thanks to cloud computing and lifelong learning. For this, the first pillar of the plan will be the portal mininegocio365.es, which is displayed
using video case studies of SMEs that have adopted cloud services. They can offer you advice; templates and applications free download on the web.
The Competitiveness Plan, in addition, will consist of multiple events and workshops including a tour to Spain to spread and disseminate these tools. Since Spain is ranked 46th in the indicator of technology adoption by firms,
according to the World Economic Forum, as noted by the Industry Minister, José Manuel Soria.
In this sense, the president of the Independent Workers Association (ATA), Lorenzo Amor, emphasized the importance of promoting electronic commerce as only 47% of the Spanish autonomous have a computer and out of these, only one
of four is connected to the Internet.
The president of the CEOE, Juan Rosell, said the adoption of technologies is inexpensive and using the devices with less energy is not expensive and there are immediate returns.
"It’s very complicated, especially at this time, we have the revenue we have, and in a year where they will rise very little," he said.
Industry Minister recalled that his department has assigned a cut by the agreement of non-availability of 1,100 million, and there will be a similar cut in the new budget, so the total adjustment to the department will be 2,200
million.
