Ali Zafar: I want to be a versatile actor

The Pakistani starlet, Ali Zafar, actor-singer-composer, is having a high time in India right now as his recent film ‘London, Paris, New York’ has done well at the box office and it has been appreciated by almost everyone out there.

Ali made his Bollywood debut through ‘TERE BIN LADEN’ and ‘MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN’ was his second film. Both films did well for him and now that he has scored a hattrick, he has insisted that he wants to become a versatile actor.

Ali insisted, ”I want to be a versatile actor. I want to concentrate on acting right now. It’s fantastic that I am getting the kind of work that I want to do.”

‘London, Paris, New York’, which was released on March 2, did quite well in the start but later on it suffered badly on Friday due to the unexpected box office performance of ‘Paan Singh Tomar’. Nevertheless, Zafar is happy with the appericiation he has got and is still getting from the audiences.

The actor stresses he is having a perfect journey in the industry and now he is feeling more confident for the next projects.

”I am on Cloud 9! There can’t be a better feeling than this to have back-to-back successes. It feels encouraging and I am all the more confident now. My journey in Bollywood is going ideal. All my hard work is paying off now,” said an elated Ali over his third triumph in Bollywood.

Zafar added, ”Yes it was quite expected as LONDON PARIS NEW YORK was real in its approach. Being a youth-centric film it was expected that the film will work well in metros and urban areas. LONDON PARIS NEW YORK was an experiment and I am glad it became a success.”

Ali Zafar, who has now developed a huge fan base in India, is currently participating in the remake of ‘Chashme Buddoor’, which is to be directed by David Dhawan.

Let’s see if ‘Chashme Buddoor’ also proves to be a treat for the audiences.
