Mallika Sherawat looking forward to host a gay bash

B-town hottie Mallika Sherawat recently, in Las Vegas, shot for the NOH8 campaign demanding equality for the homosexuals since she believes everyone reserves the rights to live his/her life as they want. Perhaps this is a reason why the actress has used her celebrity status to bring the cause under consideration.

Sherawat, who is known best for her bold on-screen performances, is currently in United States where she will host an engagement party of her close friend Ricky Ferrari and his fiancé Alex. As per the reports, Sherawat will specially rent a beach house in Malibu to host the party.

“I’m so proud to do it and looking forward to the bash. Some of my best friends are gay and I love them very much,” she asserts.

In India homosexuality has been made legal but the ministers are still arguing over it, as they reckon homosexuality is immoral and against the nature. One of the government lawyers has even told the Supreme Court to reconsider its decision and this news has not gone well with Sherawat at all.

The actress while lashing out at the government said everyone should get equal rights and homosexuality is not something which is very old.

She retorts, “Who the hell is anyone to tell us what is right and what’s wrong? There’s no law against it, homosexuality has been a part of our culture since the days of the kings and queens.”

Mallika, in the meantime, revealed that ‘Dostana’ is one of her favorite films. However, when Sherawat, who has recently shot an item number ‘Laila’ in India for Ratan Jain’s thriller ‘Tezz’, was asked about if she will do an item number in ‘Dostana 2’, she replied by saying yes. The actress stressed she is open to do any item number but the producers should be able to afford her.

“I’m open to any role, script or song if they can afford me,” she said. “It’s not easy to afford Mallika Sherawat. Jackie Chan could, so could the Jains of Venus.”

Well, Mallika Sherawat is not the only one who has spoken in favour of homosexuality because a few days back Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan spoke in their favour as well.
