Mike Tyson says Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather should be thrown in jail

The ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, who is one of the most feared heavyweight champions of all time, believes that the five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather junior, and the eight-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, should be arrested, if they fail to agree terms on a super-fight.

The pound-for-pound kings, Floyd Mayweather junior and Manny Pacquiao, are considered as the best fighters on the planet at this point in time and therefore a fight between the two is one of the most eagerly awaited fights out there. However, it has not been made as of yet due their disputes.

Currently, money is proving a huge stumbling block as negotiations between the pair rumble behind the scenes and Tyson is extremely unhappy with the scene.

The 45-year-old former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world stated he would have thrown Mayweather and Pacquiao in jail, if he would have been the president of the sport.

“Listen if I was President I would throw them [Mayweather Jnr and Pacquiao] in jail if they didn’t fight,” Tyson told Detroit radio station WXYZ. “I’d have them arrested. You can’t do that but that’s what I would try to do. I’d be like, ‘These guys need to get locked up and find a new profession until they get their heads clear.'”

The undefeated American legend, Mayweather junior, who holds an incredible record of winning all of his 42 professional fights, with 26 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, challenged Pacquiao for a May 5 fight. Nevertheless, his offer was immediately turned down by the Filipino star when he said he will not give him a 50/50 split.

The Fighting Pride of Philippines, Pacquiao, the current WBO welterweight champion, is currently set to take on Timothy Bradley on June 9, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, after getting done with Bradley, Pacquiao may set up a fight with Mayweather since his trainer, Freddie Roach, recently said that they are running out of opponents.

Well, all said and done, let’s hope a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao gets real.
