Jennifer Westfeldt: ‘Friends with Kids’ was a great experience

American actress, Jennifer Westfeldt, claims that her new movie ‘Friends with Kids’ was a great experience. She insisted that she loved every moment of the film and is proud of her work in the movie.

‘Friends with Kids’ is a story of two friends who decide to become parents of a child but do not want to commit.

The ‘Kissing Jessica Stein’ star, who has also written and directed the film besides being the lead actress, stated that there were many people who had turned down the script and had discouraged her against making the movie two
years back.

Westfeldt admitted that there were a lot of hurdles in making the project as some people claimed that the movie can never be made in a small budget. However, the actress is delighted that she has fulfilled her dream against all
odds and is happy on the positive critical response her film is getting.

“A lot people told us this was impossible and we couldn’t do it, that we would never be able to do this on this low budget and in this amount of time. It had to be done so I did a few all-nighters and literally the copies of the
script were printing as people were arriving,” she was quoted as saying in an interview.

The 42-year old also revealed that her friends and family had the read the script for the first time two years back at a party and they encouraged her to start filming.

“I was like madly highlighting and Jon (Hamm) was trying to get everyone a drink and we ended up reading it around our dining room table just casual with, like, pasta and wine,” she concluded.

The film also stars Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Edward Burns and Megan Fox.
