Muzaffarabad: (Monday, March 12, 2012) Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, in order to send a message to those involved in planning “conspiracies” against his party, has decided to appoint Aslam Gill – the PPP candidate for senate
elections who lost the polls at the hands of a Muslim League candidate primarily because of some under-the-table deal on part of his otherwise political supporters, as his personal assistant.
Airing his decision during a rally here in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the PM said that Gill was not only being appointed as a special assistant, but he will be given the status of a Minister of State.
Gilani was of the view that whatever happened to Gill in Senate elections was unfair, and in order to reward the dedication of the loyal worker of his party, he was to appoint him as his special assistant.
Believing that doing so will revive the spirit of his party members and will send a message to those planning conspiracies against his government, the PM said, “This will send a message to those against our ideology that the PPP
will continue to support it’s workers.”
