It is believed that one learns the most important lessons in life through personal experience and not books. That is indeed true regardless of how many arguments we come up with. The knowledge in text book is limited and is basically an experience of one
or a handful of people. While many people may be able to relate to those experiences, there is a high probability that one’s experience may be a completely different and unique one.
It is extremely important to separate a unique experience from the rest as the lesson learnt through that particular experience is what makes us different and special. There is hardly anyone who was born great. However, experiencing different situations
and perceiving them in their own unique manner taught them a distinctive lesson, something that can be utilised to make a difference.
Some of the best singers in the world use their own experiences to come up with the lyrics to their songs. One does not have to look deep to find a singer who used their own experience to climb the ladder of success. Adele is one of the most prominent examples
of today. The 23-year-old British singer had experienced a heart-ache when in her late teens and she used that pain to come up with songs that won the hearts of millions around the world.
The leaders are also born through lessons learnt and knowledge gained that has little to do with the books. While the experiences of others are valuable, they are in no way as important as the ones that a person himself gains.
