After the rise of so many touch screen devices by Apple and other technology companies, the Microsoft had the biggest challenge to come up with an idea that could beat others. The conception of Windows 8 with complete touch screen was also the part of same
effort. However, it was not a new thing for people who use smartphones, iPads, and various other android touch screens.
To outdo the competitors, Microsoft has recently demoed a next-generation touchscreen which is believed to respond to the input in less than one millisecond. Now this is something that can put Microsoft ahead in the game as currently most of the touch-screen
gadgets consume 100 milliseconds, in order to respond to the touch-screen input.
You may have noticed that your input drags behind the touch of your finger while swiping on the screen of your iphone or ipad. And sometimes, you may not observe the minor delay before getting a reaction. It was not very obvious a year or two back but since
the touch-screen devices have become ever more popular, more and more people are getting to know about such delays and slow responses on their tablets and touch screen PCs.
This delay become more evident and noticeable when you run some graphic application or swiftly move between reams of data. However, Microsoft has worked on reducing the delay to minimum. They have their latest piece of kit to prove that there is practically
no delay between touching the screen and the input registering.
This new touch-screen has been designed by the Applied Sciences Group at Microsoft. The touch screen with 1ms is still in the prototype stage and the trails can take any length of time to be patent. Nevertheless, the Microsoft experts said, “We cannot expect
the new technology to hit products anytime soon.”
