World’s Ugliest Dog, Yoda, dies at the age of 15 – Entertainment News

Sad news hit the block this past Saturday when people learned that Yoda bid farewell to life at the age of 15. The dog that touched the heights of fame in 2011 after winning the contest for a world title, died in her sleep. The mix of Chinese crest and Chihuahua,
Yoda, was named the Ugliest Dog in the World last year. While, to many it seemed as an insult but Yoda was offered $1000 and a free of cost hotel stay.
The dog was owned by Mrs. Terry Schumacher for many years now and it was actually found by her daughter in the fields. Schumacher told her daughter to put it down probably thinking that she was rat. However, her daughter took Yoda home and pampered her.
Now that Yoda is no more in the cruel world, Mrs. Schumacher says, “I will miss her funny little ways! But comforted by knowing she will be joining Mom and Dad, who loved her so much! Her memories will live on forever!!!”
The 2011 World’s Ugliest Dog Contest was held in Petaluma, California and the next champion will be decided at the Sonoma Marin Fair. However, Yoda will keep her title until the next polls, the contest’s producer told the Associated Press.
Yoda had a rough reputation, but a heart of gold.
