Paperless Environment: Is it really the time to bid farewell to paper? – Part 4
Friday, March 16th, 2012 6:31:39 by Usman KhalidHowever, smartphones are taking care of this problem. Though the process is a little bit finicky to handle but it does the trick; transfer the file or app from the tablet to smartphone, and it will take it from there.
No matter what convenience all these technology gismos provide us, paper has taken care of all the aforementioned and other stuff, that I could not remember or describe in this post for one reason or the other, single-handedly.
To bring the Paper Empire down means to bring a number of replacements to handle a number of its applications. For example, to fit a chit in a pocket we need a smartphone, to make transactions we need a credit or debit card, to read books we need a tablet, to keep books we need computers and data repositories. A man can handle currency, a chit, a book and a register in his hands at the same time, and it has infiltrated our subconscious to use what at what time. However, one cannot handle a tablet, a smartphone, a Google Wallet or a credit card and a desktop or laptop at the same time. Imagine a person right next to you in a subway train operating all these gadgets at the same time.
To take this leap, the technology has to wait a little while until all things are sorted out and the likes of Google and Apple bring us one or two alternatives to all these uses of paper.
