In order to formulate its strategic future policy, Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has appointed Dr Azeem Ibrahim as his strategic policy consultant.

The new induction will assist the party in developing comprehensive policies, a press release noted on Tuesday.

Pakistani-origin Scottish, Azeem Ibrahim holds a PhD from Cambridge University and served as a scholarly person at Yale and Harvard. LSDP European Social Think Tank has declared him as one of the Top 100 Global Thinkers, back in 2009.

Ibrahim has advised over half a dozen world leaders, holding a formidable track record in the field of policy making. The PTI has accomplished significant momentum in the surveys with a number of high profile inductions from opponent parties.

In the leadership of Imran Khan, it is presently riding a tsunami of popularity. The cricket-turned politician on the new induction observed, “We are delighted to have someone with Azeem’s experience at the heart of our operation”.

In the latest survey done by Newsweek Pakistan, Khan leads the poll with an impressive 86% with no other leader having more than six per cent.

However, the ground picture can be quite different in general elections, say political analysts. The recent appointment is thence being considered as the logical next step as the Khan campaign makes the transition from an opposition political party to a government in waiting.

Dr. Azeem while commenting about his newly assigned task said, “Imran Khan’s honesty and sincerity in a country where such traits are seriously lacking amongst the political elite clearly mark him out”.

In his view, he was struck by Imran’s ability to assimilate huge amounts of complex information and instantly understand what needs to be done to take the country forward in these testing times.

Expressing great honored for Imran Khan, he termed him the next Prime Minister of Pakistan.  The captain’s political life began in 1996 with the creation of the PTI.

He established the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in 1994 and a college namely Namal College in 2008 with funds he raised.

Good. But Imran Khan must give him the job-to-do list, and this guy must only decide about the small details.
