We really need to change our mindset

It isn’t matter of policies but a thinking mindset, which varies from person to person and department to department. Thinking style of a military person is quite dissimilar to the civilians.

The lives of army-men are limited to orders what they give and take throughout their services, and interestingly sometimes without any sense.

In order to alien them from civilians and keep them restricted to protected walls of their compound, they are trained in a unique way from the very beginning. One of many things they are taught is how to rule the bloody civilians.

Without any doubt, there is hell of difference between civilian and military mindsets. Hence, the situation becomes worst whenever a dictator mind clashes with the democratic mind.

In its obstinacy, a dictatorial mindset rules which are beyond the acceptance of democracy-loving people.

Furthermore, this is one of the many reasons of country’s political instability. Army interventions have always hampers the transparent democratic system, disturbing and stopping the smooth transition of powers from one elected government to another.

Civilians, according to military thinking, are children of less God, so army-men have all rights to disregard them or scorn them for any reason or most of the time without any logic.

At the same time, the military-men are the bless creatures of God, hence, they are the superior from civilians and made policies for others to follow. But they are not answerable to anyone and can inquire anyone, about anything, any time.

The military men, in their pride, have forgotten something that people will respect them till they keep us shelter from the danger coming from the borders. However, their dictatorships will not be tolerated if they try to draw or create boundaries within the country and between the military and civilians.

The law of the land is equal for all, be it uniform clad man or man in plain dress. In short, the concluding point is that no one is above the law and we all should respect it.

Apart from its disadvantages, democracy is far better than dictatorships. The latter wants everything to be well-ordered but human beings are not programmed to be commanded all the time.

People need liberty including freedom of expression, freedom of movement and freedom of action. One cannot suppress anyone all the time.

The need is to eliminate the current mindset of the military otherwise wait for dire consequences from the rebellious civilians.
