President Zardari, associates responsible forcrises: Nawaz Sharif
Friday, March 23rd, 2012 11:24:14 by Faisal FarooqPML-N head, former PM, Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that President Asif Ali Zardari and his associates were responsible for current National crisis.
Addressing an event of distribution of free laptops among students of Punjab University, he said that President Zardari and his associates were answerable to Nation over their misdeeds.
He said that Nation stood at the abyss of destruction and crisis, totally deprived of such natural resources like electricity and gas, while economic crisis was also rampant.
He cited a vibrant evolution of democracy in neighboring India, which was chiefly responsible for development there; while Pakistan had always suffered from a spate of martial laws.
He accused former President Pervez Musharraf for jailing him (Nawaz Sharif) in a pitch dark Landhi jail , while he (Musharraf) destroyed almost every institution , including Judiciary of Country with impunity and abandon; while corruption reigned supreme, and PML-N leadership was sent in forced exile.
“How could have any country progressed in these circumstances?” he complained. Nawaz Sharif also berated PTI chairman Imran Khan for trying to hoodwink masses and merely lure them in a utopia, while PML-N believed in practical development and progress.
Nawaz Sharif cited his regime whence the Country was progressing rapidly, with Pakistani Rupee stronger than that of India.
“Many leaders of the worlds tried to pressurize Pakistan away from its nuclear experiments, but our government always prioritized National interests”, he stated.
He was at a loss to comment on Pakistan’s victory in recent Asia Cup, as “Bengalis are our blood brothers, and were the vanguard of Pakistan Movement, besides the fact that a brave Bengali Air force pilot had destroyed Indian jets during 1965”.
He reminded the audience that creation of Bangladesh was due to rampant dictator ship in Country, and not any Punjabi, Sindhi, Baloch or Pakhtoons.
Earlier while distributing 100,000 laptops among students of Punjab University, he expressed his utmost pleasure that laptops were to be distributed.
“While merit is being openly and rampantly flouted in Country, PML-N still works on the basis of merit “, adding that next budget would entail distribution of 300,000 laptops; since “it is masses’ revenue, being rightly spent on them for their very own vibrant progress”.
He paid glowing tributes to CM, Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif for initiating the project.
