Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said today that his tour to South Korea will improve the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The PM said this while talking to the South Korean ambassador to Pakistan Choong Joo Choi who called on him today morning at the PM house. PM Gilani, during the meeting, appreciated the South Korean companies’ investment in Pakistan.
Gilani is planned to visit Republic of Korea to participate in the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit from March 25-28, 2012 where Heads of States and Governments from major countries are participating.
During the conference, the PM is likely to meet a number of world leaders and CEOs of major Korean companies.
PM was of the view that he was inspired by South Korea’s unique experience of great economic progress and Pakistan wished to benefit from its best practices in order to be able to achieve similar development trajectory.
He said that interaction with South Korean companies would encourage them to enhance their engagement and investment particularly in infrastructure and energy sectors.
The PM said that Pakistan desires to further strengthen and expand relations in political economic, trade and defence field.
