Emphatic matches are lined up for the 28^th edition of Wrestle Mania

WWE presents Wrestle Mania XXVIII on Sunday, April 1 at 7 PM ET. This event will be contested at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Please note that next to every competitors name I have placed their record at this event.

Matches Announced For This Show:

John Cena (6-2) vs. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (4-4)

Events leading to this match: When the Rock was introduced as the host for Wrestle Mania XXVII; he immediately started to insult John Cena. The war of words between the men continued and resulted in the Rock costing John a chance to become the WWE Champion
at that event. The very next night, the two men agreed to this match.

Hell in a Cell Match with Special Guest Referee Shawn Michaels (6-11): The Undertaker (19-0) vs. Triple H (7-8)

Rules of the match: The ringside area will be surrounded by a cage which has a roof on it. The only way to win this bout is via pin fall or submission.

Events leading to this match: The Undertaker beat Triple H at this show last year but was so severely injured in the process that he has yet to have another match. The one thing that honour has eluded Triple H in his career is being the
man to end the Undertaker’s winning streak at Wrestle Mania. This will be his third chance to break the streak. Special guest referee Shawn Michaels was forced to retire two years ago after failing to end the streak. While it would appear that Shawn would
help his best friend defeat the man that forced him to retire, Shawn is also a proud man that doesn’t seem thrilled with the prospect of Triple H accomplishing the one thing that he couldn’t do.

WWE Championship: Champion CM Punk (2-3) vs. Chris Jericho (4-6)

Events leading to this match: Chris Jericho has recently returned to the WWE after being gone for several years. He feels that CM Punk has been ripping off his "Best in the World" catchphrase. While CM Punk successfully retained the title
at Elimination Chamber against Chris and four other men, Chris felt ripped off because he was eliminated from the bout without ever getting pinned or forced to submit in that match. The next night, Chris won a 10-man battle royal to get this title shot.

Randy Orton (4-4) vs. Kane (5-8)

Events leading to this match: In February, Randy Orton returned to action from a concussion and looked for revenge against the man that gave it to him, Daniel Bryan. However, Kane appeared during the match and attacked Randy Orton. Ever
since then, the two men have been stalking one another and beating each other up when the other man has been preoccupied with something else. Kane said that he attacked Randy because last year he shook Randy’s hand following a match the two had against each
other. Since transforming back into a monster, Kane is embarrassed by his last act of humanity in the WWE.

Intercontinental Championship: Champion Cody Rhodes (1-1) vs. Big Show (3-8)

Events leading to this match: After pinning Big Show during the Elimination Chamber Match last month, Cody not only began gloating about costing Big Show a main event slot at this event, he also felt the Big Show should be thanking him.
Over the years, Big Show has not had much success at Wrestle Mania and even worse, he suffered some of his greatest humiliations at this show. For several weeks, Cody has been replaying this humiliating footage which led to the Big Show asking Smack-Down GM
Teddy Long for this bout.

12-Man Tag Team Match to Determine the General Manager of RAW & SmackDown

Team Teddy: [Santino Marella (2-0), R-Truth (0-1), Kofi Kingston (1-2),???, ???, & ???]

Team Johnny: [David Otunga (0-0), Mark Henry (0-3), Christian (4-5), Dolph Ziggler (0-2), Jack Swagger (1-0), &???]

Events leading to this match: At Elimination Chamber, Interim RAW General Manager announced that he wanted to also become the General Manager of Smack Down. Smack-Down General Manager Teddy Long thought that the idea of having only one General
Manager for both shows was a good idea, but thought that it should be him instead of John Laurinaitis. The issues between the two men have reached a boiling point over the past few weeks. The WWE Board of Directors decided to resolve the situation by having
each man pick a team of six wrestlers. The General Manager of the winning team will be in control of both RAW and Smack Down.

Maria Menounos (0-0) & Kelly Kelly (0-2) vs. Beth Phoenix (1-2) & Eve (0-2)

Events leading to this match: When Maria was interviewing Kelly Kelly on her television show, Extra, Beth Phoenix ad Eve crashed the set and challenged the two ladies to this match. Maria and Kelly accepted the bout. This marks the third
time in the ring for the host of Extra and both previous times she was in the ring she faced off against Beth Phoenix in tag team action. At last year’s Tribute to the Troops, Maria Menounos pinned the Glamazon.

2 Musical Performances

Flo Rida: The rapper’s songs Wild Ones and Good Feeling are the theme songs of this year’s show.

Machine Gun Kelly: MGK will be performing Invincible, which will be the entrance theme for John Cena.
