Jessica Hammond: ‘The Voice’ is better than ‘X Factor’
Monday, March 26th, 2012 12:56:33 by Waqas TariqBritish singer Jessica Hammond has claimed that BBC’s ‘The Voice’ is much better than ITV’s reality show ‘X Factor’. The singer, who first auditioned for the latter but could not go through, has qualified for the next round in ‘The Voice’. She will be mentored by Jessie J in the next round after the contestant sang ‘Price Tag’ in the audition.
Jessica claimed that she had earlier auditioned for the ‘X Factor’ twice but could not make through as the judges thought that she needed improvement. She admitted that the Voice is a completely different show to the ITV show and insisted that the production team from BBC have been very kind to her.
“The Voice is a completely different show to The X Factor. The BBC were really kind, and the production team were really kind, and that does make a massive difference. On The X Factor, I had to arrive at 7am and didn’t leave until 11pm,” she was quoted as saying in an interview.
The 17-year old added that it was a brilliant moment when all the four judges had pressed the button to take her in the team. She admitted that it was a very good feeling when all the four judges were willing to take her in their respective teams.
“On The Voice, you are given all the help and encouragement to perform well. It was an incredible moment when all four judges turned around. The judges on The X Factor said I was an average singer and my performance was just average. They have their opinions and I wasn’t on top form that day,” she concluded.
‘The Voice’ started in the US and has been a very popular show throughout the world.

I totaly agree i am a singer/songwriter. I have being in a local talent show where i come from called the Hull Daily Mail Talent Trail 4 times every year progressing all the time and i get good comments from the judges. But then after i have being in the talent show i go for x factor. Which this year was my 6th time i get turned down by the producers or 1st auditions no reason why they turned me away. But yet they put through people who cant sing purely for entertaiment value its not on so my wife is going to put me on the voice for next year and showcase my talent on the voice.
Thats exactly what been happening for the past many years Anthony. X Factor has had a monopoly in UK but surely The Voice will break it. Just Love the concept and the judges man. And Wish u the very best of luck if you go for the auditions man 🙂
