Jacqueline Fernandez: It’s my bad luck I couldn’t do ‘Krrish 3’

The Sri Lankan actress and model, Jacqueline Fernandez, has only done three Bollywood films thus far but this year she will be seen in films which are ‘Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen’, ‘Race 2’, ‘Total Dhamaal’, ‘Pravegaya’ and ‘ Definition Of Fear’. The actress also locked many headlines for Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Krrish 3’ since she was offered a role in ‘Krrish 3’ as well before she turned it down.

However, now Fernandez is regretting not doing ‘Krrish 3’. There were also a lot of noises that perhaps ‘Housefull 2’ director Sajid Khan is mentoring her but Fernandez has clarified that there is no one who influences her decisions.

The actress, who lifted Miss Sri Lanka Universe title in 2006, in her exclusive interview with TOI stated that she had a lot of work when she was offered ‘Krrish 3’ and she now feels it was just her bad luck.  

“‘Krrish 3’… I think more of my bad luck. It was unfortunate clash of dates. I felt a major burden on lot of people, so I had to make the decision. Both parties tried hard to make it work, but it didn’t work. It’s my bad luck I couldn’t do ‘Krrish 3’,” Jacqueline said.

“Unfortunately you tend to get stereotype in the industry and that was the major concern for me. When ‘Murder 2’ released, there were lot of offers coming my way,” she said.

Fernandez’s first film of this year ‘Housefull 2’ is scheduled to hit the cinemas on April 5 and the actress shared her thoughts about the film. She said doing ‘Housefull 2’ was a major relief for her.

“When we got into the later stage of finalisation of ‘Raaz 3’, I just was not comfortable. I felt I have done it in ‘Murder 2’, so it’s time to move on. ‘Housefull 2’ was a major relief. It’s a different genre. It sees me as a lot more Indianised,” added the 26-year-old.

Well, all said and done, let’s see if Fernandez really provides a ‘treat’ to the audiences.
