Tuesday, March 27th, 2012 5:54:33 by Usman Khalid2012 Honda Fit
The Honda Fit is the least expensive vehicle to make our list of Toughest Cars, with prices starting at $15,175. According to Consumer Reports, it is also an excellent value, topping the CR “Best New Car Value” list for 2012 and 2011. The small hatchback is rated to deliver a tough punch at the pump, too, with EPA estimates of 28 mpg city/35 mpg highway from a 1.5-L I4 that provides 117 hp/106 lb-ft of torque.
2012 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid
Another hybrid populates the roster and for the second time in a row it’s a non-Japanese brand. Lincoln MKZ offers a great shape not only for a hybrid but any gas-engine vehicle from the world of the automobiles. However, all the luxury and comfort comes at a price that lifts up the car to a high-price budget. All the gas and electric engine power is available at a hefty $34,755.
With a 2.5-L I4 it delivers 156 hp and 136 lb-ft of torque with extra 35 hp from the Electric Motor.
2012 Scion xB
Another Japanese model with an efficient gas engine and reliable body, Scion beats other Toyota brands to the punch. The hatchback is one of affordable vehicles available in the US and the UK. With a humble price of $17,030, it brings luxury and durability to the hands of the owners.
The 2.4-L I4 engine churns out 158 horse powers and 162 lb-ft of torque to pull the engine from point A to point B.
