The leader of the hoard of hybrid, no more, is still in the list. However, its fuel efficiency aside, it’s one of the most reliable cars in the world. Stating the obvious, it is the fourth Toyota on list in a row.
The car surely started the successful campaign of fuel-efficient and green cars, or at least gave it a boost with one-of-a-kind engine system of its day. Although there are now numerous hybrids in the market with elegant shapes, the Prius has not lost its charm and it is still considered synonymous to green factor in the automotive industry. At $24,000, it is an expensive buy for a hatchback but still its engine is fuel efficient.
With a 1.8-L I4 engine, the car kicks in 98 hp to go from A to B with 105 lb-ft of torque. Of course, the electric motor provides the 80 hp as well.
2012 Toyota Sienna
It looks more like Toyota’s list of Tough Cars on the road. Last but not the least, The Toyota Sienna concludes the list with a bang. The tribute to the Brazilian Formula 1 driver is though the likely vehicle name after a legend but it’s reliability gives the idea.
One of the most reliable and durable, Sienna gives more to driver than safety and fuel efficiency. Despite being station wagon, the luxury it holds is one of the best in this category. And the price is not big. The whole deal is your for $25,060.
The 2.7-L I4 engine fires 187 hp with 186 lb-ft of torque. However, the other option, a 3.5-L V6 engine adds more with 266 hp/245 lb-ft of torque.
