Karachi: (Wednesday, March 28, 2012) chaos in Karachi that erupted yesterday after the death of an MQM worker got worse when today evening an Awami National Party’s (ANP) office bearer Zainul Abideen was attacked and killed in
his office near the Matric Board office in North Nazimabad.
Condemning the brutal act, the ANP Sindh has decided to observe a day of mourning on this Friday.
According to the information shared by the ANP Sindh spokesman, one of Zaimul Abideen’s companions also got injured in the firing incident.
While condemning the killing of his worker, President ANP Sindh, Senator Shahi Syed demanded the killers to be arrested and put to task.
Taking notice of the incident, provincial minister for interior, Manzoor Wasan has summoned a report from the IG police.
Following the killing, violence erupted in several areas of the city including Empress Market, Bohri Bazar and Nipa Chowrangi. However, all this could not put halt to the ongoing killings in the city as another man was killed in
Lasbella by unidentified armed men.
The angry demonstrators, protesting to end violence in the city, set two cars and three motor cycles on fire in the Teen Hatti area. Moreover, a passenger bus was also burnt at Nishtar Road.
As violence is spreading in Karachi, shops, petrol pumps and CNG stations are closing down in the city.
