London: (Wednesday, March 28, 2012) Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said today that his party did not want to divide Sindh. He also warned the ‘so-called’ Sindh Nationalists who, to him, were trying to bully
Urdu speaking Sindhis that it was 21st century.
In his video message today shown on various television channels, Altaf said that hatred was being promoted in Sindh under a pre-planned conspiracy.
He said, “The so-called Sindhi nationalists and other leaders from the province have been using inflammatory and hate-filled language against Urdu speaking Sindhis, usually known as Muhajirs, and warning of dire consequences if
anyone mentioned division of Sindh.”
Altaf warned that the element who think they could threaten the Urdu speaking Sindhis by using offensive and a hostile language must bear in mind that their tactics would not work and they must wake up to the reality as it was
21st century now.
He said, “if you would offer a hand we would shake it; throw a gesture of love we would accept it; act with kindness we would reciprocate it”. He, however, at the same time, warned that ‘if you would persecute us we would hit back;
we are just like you, so we will imitate whatever way you act.’
Altaf also warned that if Urdu speaking would become tired of hearing the words of peace and harmony, then even his appeals to remain calm will fall on deaf ears. “I once again appeal my supporters to observe patience and remain
in control of their emotions” he added.
