Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod preaches hatred and distrust

Saif Ali Khan’s latest James Bond-inspired Agent Vinod has come as a huge shock for the Pakistani public who were under the impression that the Indian film-makers had gotten over their obsession with maligning the image of Pakistan and its spy agency.

The action spy film features a plot that not only shows the Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence actively involved in creating mischief in the region, especially India, but is also backing terrorists.

The overall reception of the movie has not been that great and the fact that it has been banned in Pakistan by its censor board has only added to the misery of Saif and all others who had decided to use the Bollywood industry to continue a war that has been
going on since the separation of India in 1947.

The Indians needs to get over the hatred and focus on other things instead of using whatever resources they have at their disposal to show Pakistan in a bad light. ISI is considered to be the main line of defence when it comes to Pakistan’s security and
is working to ensure the safety of the country, the same way RAW is working around the clock to safeguard India’s interests.

The Pakistani public should not have been expected to see the money with an Indian point of view in their mind because they have utmost faith in their spy agency and are aware of the fact that it’s working for their security. If India has a problem with
ISI, they should have kept it to politics. Instead, Saif and his team decided to bring politics into a film industry that is expected to care about the sentiments of people on both sides of the border.

The sort of response that the movie has been getting in India has not been that encouraging either. It sure serves Saif right for bringing his hatred into the industry. Hopefully he and other Indian directors, producers and script-writers learn a lesson
and keep politics and hatred out of his projects in the future.
