This article is a continuance of ‘The mystery of Dyatlov Pass – Part 1’.

The papers describe the time camping on a slope of Mount Kholat-Syakhl, a mountain near Otorten. From 5:00 in the afternoon the group had its armed camp, according to Yury Yudin, Igor chose that place not to deviate from the planned route, although only
1.5 kilometers downhill was a forest that would be better protected from the elements.

That’s why when they formed rescue groups of teachers, students and police using helicopters to help in the search they found the climbers at the locations "logical" and that delayed the search.

Nothing prepared them for a scene without much sense when Mikhail Sharavin discovered the camp on February 26. When authorities arrived, they realized that the tent was torn and covered with snow, but no one was inside. The belongings of the hikers were
found scattered throughout the camp.

The tracks showed that the researchers found that the store had been torn from within, also found footprints of 9 persons, including 2 victims were wearing socks, another wore a shoe and the other was barefoot. Traces of the adventurers had more than 1 meter
deep, researchers found that the footprints were members of the group and there were new people in the camp.

The place had the remains of a bonfire and tree branches were broken in a way that could only be because one of the adventurers climbed. The footprints led the investigation had a slope near a pine forest, but these disappeared after 500 meters. The young
Sharavin found the first 2 bodies in the forest entrance. The bodies of Georgy Krivonischenko (24) and Yury Doroshenko (21), were barefoot and wearing only his underwear.

Igor Dyatlov bodies (23), Zina Kolmogorova (22) and Rustem Slobodin (23), were found in the woods and the camp. The position that suggests that fell were returning to camp. When checked the bodies found that the 5 had died from hypothermia, but the body
of Slobodin had a fractured skull. Although the wound was not mortal was enough for authorities to initiate a criminal investigation. Autopsies revealed no evidence linking the deaths with a crime.
