The messy your work station is, the farther is your promotion – Part 1

It is one thing to be the more productive than your peers at your work place but it is another thing to make an impression that you are the diligent candidate for the next performance appraisal or promotion or both for that matter.

Your work place matter a lot when it comes to impressing the likes of your boss(s) and/or your colleagues. Most of the time, the performance feedback is more of a word of mouth than a performa filled by your employer or your supervisor.

The cleanliness at your station, cubicle or an office suite matters a lot, you like it or not, it gives the impression of your dedication to the work. It is not prejudiced that a messy work station belongs to someone who is not interested in the job. Filling in reports and working up the punch cards for the sake of making the salary at the end of the month.

Your productivity is of the foremost important to your employers and that gets compromised when you are not in the best of the organized conditions or hygienic for that matter.

The health hazards also protrude when you work on a messy station or office of your own. The first to enter that equation is your mental health that is directly related to your performance and productivity. Once you get worked up with the frustrating messy environment around you, your health is likely to be taxed, which eventually leads to a disorientated life style.
