Thursday, March 29th, 2012 6:04:29 by Musa AfridiNewspakistan takes a look at a number of films that movie enthusiasts should be jotting down on their ‘To watch’ list. The list includes a few films that the reader may not have even heard of.
2011 was a great year for movies with a number of entertaining, immersive and outrageous movies hitting cinemas across the world and 2012 promises more of the same if one knows what to expect.
Starting things off with G.I.Joe: Retaliation, which sees the Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson don the role as Roadblock and alongside Duke, Snake Eyes and a handful of other Joes has to stop Cobra from taking over the world.
The reveal trailer for the movie was nothing short of amazing and from the looks of it, Retaliation is sure provide a fair deal of entertainment when it releases worldwide this summer.
Another movie that everyone should be keeping an eye out is The sound of my voice.
The movie is shot as a documentary and sees two investigative journalists infiltrate a cult that believes their leader has come from the future.
The trailer was intriguing to say the least and based on that and that alone the movie deserves a viewing when it eventually releases.
Dark Shadows sees Johnny Depp play a vampire who, after being locked up and buried alive, is released back into the world when his grave is dug up and his coffin opened. The latest Tim Burton movie seems to have a certain element of charm and poetic
comedy to it and well, it has Johnny Depp in it too.
One movie that has us excited is The Chernobyl Diaries and sees a group of friends go on an extreme tourism trip to the area where the Chernobyl disaster took place. However, they are stranded there when their van breaks down, or was it broken down?
and are forced to fight for their lives to stay alive.
What makes it so interesting? Well it’s the fact that the movie is the brainchild of the creator of the first Paranormal Activity movie. You know the one that actually scared the audience.
