Taufeeq’s brilliance send Rams packing from the domestic T20 tournament

Winning the toss and batting first, Eagles compiled 158 runs in their allotted 20 overs with skipper Taufeeq Umar spanking 76 of 57 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes. Imran Farhat made 33 of 23 balls. Extras were the third highest scorer with
21.
Sohail Tanvir picked up three wickets while Yasir Arafat, Hammad Azam and Samiullah picked up a wicket each. Three players got run-out.
In reply, Pindi bundled out for 124 with Awais Zia top scoring with 55 of 40 balls including six fours and two sixes. Jamal Anwar, Mohammad Nawaz, Tanvir and Yasim Murtaza chipped in with 14, 10, 11 and 12 runs respectively as the home side managed 124
runs in 17.5 overs.
Junaid Zia, Mustafa Iqbal and Emmad Ali picked up three wickets apiece while Mohammad Khalil picked up one wicket. Umar was declared the Man of the Match for his match wining knock.
Karachi Zebras will take on Peshawar Panthers and Faisalabad Wolves will meet Lahore Lions in today’s (29-3-2012) encounter which will clarify the four semi-final spots.
