5. Ben Islam
The 18-year-old used to ply his trade at Northampton before joining Oxford City in the Evo-Stik League, where he will be looking to make an impression, so that he can make a return to the fully professional game.
His talents though could come in quite handy for Pakistan, as he is capable of playing in midfield and due to his English football education, will surely boast better vision to go along with his supreme passing skills honed in the rigours of the British
game.
Oxford City boss Mike Ford had this to stay about the player, when joined the ranks at his club.
“He has been with us a couple of times, and he will come into the squad because Michael plays a particular role for us and I am not sure I have anyone in the group who can play the same role.”
“He has a good knowledge of the game and a good technique, so I am sure he will do well.”
4. Sami Malik
The Hertha Berlin man is touted to have a bright future in the game and according to interview with FootballPakistan.com (FPDC), the starlet claimed that he would be interest in representing the Green-Kickers in the future.
“Of course it would be great to put on your home jersey and play for your country. But I’m more concerned about me and the season with Hertha BSC. Its now the most important thing,” he said.
His potency in attack would be an added benefit for the Pakistani side, who have failed to make a mark on the International stage due to lack of quality up-front amongst other things.
