Veena Malik: I want to earn a good name for Pakistan

Controversy’s favorite child, Veena Malik, has always been in the news for wrong reasons in India and since she is a Pakistani starlet, many pointed their fingers towards Pakistan. However, the actress while having a telephonic interview from Mumbai with ‘The Nation’ has insisted that she is doing all the hard work because she wants to earn a good name for her country.

It’s been a long time now since Malik is in India. Therefore, she was asked if she has plans to settle in India or elsewhere, on which the actor replied by saying ‘NO’.

Malik, who rose to fame during her stint in the Bigg Boss house, was disowned by her family after she appeared ‘nude’ on the cover page of the FHM India. Moreover, she also started receiving death threats from her country yet she wants to come to Pakistan.

Veena said, “Wherever I will be I will always be a Pakistani. It is very difficult to live far from home and your own people but I am here to make my dreams a reality. I want to earn a good name for Pakistan. Although, I have security concerns in Pakistan but I must come back and nothing can deter me from doing so.”

Malik recently participated in the season four of the reality show ‘Swayamvar’, Veena Ka Vivaah, in order to select her groom. The actress received over 70,000 applications from all over the world but when asked Veena said she has short-listed 16 men.

She remarked, “I get a lot of proposals for marriage but I have not decided as yet. However, I have short listed 16 men. After consulting with my family and friends I will decide whom I will marry.”

Veena Malik is currently doing four films in India ‘Daal Mein Kuch Kala Hai’, ‘Zindagi Fifty Fifty’, ‘Bombay 125 Km’ and ‘Super Model’ and she has played a lead role in all four films.
