Should you buy a new computer now or wait for another four months? – Part 2
Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 6:19:35 by Usman KhalidThe point however, is valid because for someone who lives in a budget the decision is not like going for a can of a Cola. It is more like a luxury item to them.
First things first, the purchase of a new device is eventually going to bring a smile at your face even though it will be short lived, and I kid you not, it is going to be short lived, no matter if you get an i-Series laptop or a Ivy Bridge computer, because after sometime Intel is going to hurl on your feelings with a range of new processors.
Now there are two options, one you go ahead with your money and buy a new computer with i-Series processor or you wait for the new line to roll out.
There are speculations that the new Ivy Bridge processors are no doubt the best alternative for an energy efficiency but as far as the performance is concerned, they are not going to be much help in replacing the respective predecessor.
The users who have planned to buy a laptop and its use is most probably on the road, they should wait for the new series to release because they might cry tears when the likes of HP and Dell announce tens of hours of constant use on the new line of notebooks.
On the other hand if the performance is in the details then they should not waste time and buy a new one now, waiting for the new series to be released is going to be a boatload of waste of time.
Another thing that needs to be addressed is that launch of new processors does not mean that computer manufacturers will release their new PCs at the same time. Some companies take as long as six months to get their new devices out the door.
