Should you buy a new computer now or wait for another four months? – Part 3
Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 6:19:29 by Usman KhalidIn addition to the processors, the operating system is another issue that needs to be addressed. Because Microsoft has announced the tentative release period of their upcoming Windows version, Windows 8 to be the third quarter of calendar 2012, the computer industry is in a frizzle. This however, is not because the software goliaths have announced a new operating system but the new OS is actually a hybrid between a desktop version and a tablet version. Its versatility has not only been an intimidation to its foes in the market, iOS and Android, but it has also put the customers in a bit of a dilemma as well.
The new operating system has raised another question to whether purchase or not a new laptop with Windows 7?
It also has two answers, and they depend on the nature of need from the customer. Does the user want a tablet-cum-laptop or a laptop?
There are speculations that the new series of Ivy Bridge processors is going to lead to slimmer and touch-sensitive hybrid laptops. This might solve the problem of those who can afford to wait for another seven to eight months. For those who want a laptop with a windowed interface and a lot of space to play movies and games, the current line of laptops will just do the trick.
For suggestions, my post is always open, and I encourage you to add your feelings and ideas to the post. Please, drop your suggestions in the comments below.
