Pooja Bhatt contacted me for ‘Jism’ back in 2002 says Sunny Leone

The Indo-Canadian porn star, Sunny Leone, is the talk of the town at this point in time because the Indian nation anxiously wants to see her performing on the big screen. The actress is all set for her ‘Bollywood ride’ with Pooja Bhatt’s forthcoming film ‘Jism 2’, which is a sequel to the 2003 hit film ‘Jism’.

The original film ‘Jism’ featured Bipasha Basu and John Abraham in the lead role and the film did quite well at the Box Office. However, Leone claims that it was her who was contacted first for the movie and not Bipasha.

The actress recently had a candid chat with Emirates24|7, in which she said she was contacted by Bhatt back in 2002 but she couldn’t accept it since she already has a penthouse deal.

Leone said, “I am aware that Pooja Bhatt tried to contact me for ‘Jism’ when she was casting back in 2002. But somehow it did not work out because of the Penthouse deal.”

But if I had signed, Bipasha would not have been signed for ‘Jism’ and she was so good in the film. I saw the film, and it was a lovely movie. I loved the film. I loved Bipasha’s performance. I guess, things take their own time and it is good.”

Currently Leone is a household name in India and this all happened after she was brought in the ‘Bigg Boss 5’ house.

Leone insisted that she didn’t want to come to the country at first, as she said she knew people will hate her for being a porn star.

She said, “I just happened to pick up ‘Bigg Boss’ and I picked up the offer. I didn’t want to go to a country where people will hate me. And when I came to ‘Bigg Boss’, I was happy at my decision to come. They loved and liked me. I got amazing reactions which were completely different from what I thought. People have issues. It could have gone either way.”

Sunny Leone has started shooting for ‘Jism 2’, which will feature her in the lead role. Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh will be the male leads in the movie.
