Next, the second most important thing is to keep tabs on the internet browsing and protecting the computer from alien software and hackers. One of the most important is to protect the password and credit card information. For this purpose there are third party password managers available in the market to protect the passwords from being stolen and keeping them at a reachable approach for usage.

Every browser now-a-days boasts a password manager but as it goes with the integrated features and auxiliaries they have a somewhat underwhelming output. However, as there can never be a verdict issued on these managers, do not compeletely rely on them. To be on the safe side, download a password manager for your browser because its performance is explicit and it offers more options to the users as to where to deploy the data and where not to. This way the financial transactions that you make on your computer will be on the secure side, though they can never be completely secure. LastPass and RoboForm are the two recommended managers.

The next big thing is the personal usage of the web. As nobody is limited to browse the internet on his/her personal computer, there has to be a segregation made on the important and confidential usage from the casual surfing.

Though Internet Explorer has evolved exponentially in the new IE 9 for Windows, the updates are still dependent on Windows Updates. On the other hand, Mozilla and Google update their browsers quite frequently. Firefox from Mozilla and Chrome from Google are both two of the most secured web browsers and offer a lot of security and prevention of the pop-up adverts.

There is no recommendation on which browser to prefer for the confidential use as both are rated almost the same. However, only one of them should be dedicated to the aforementioned use. The malware eat on the cookies and therefore banking transactions and online purchasing, in addition to emailing, should be done on one of them. The causal usage should be restricted to the other.
