Aya Terakawa and Natsumi Hoshi outshine swimming events – Tatsumi International Pool

Aya Terakawa and Natsumi Hoshi outshined their competitors in the Women’s 100m backstroke and 200m butterfly respectively on fifth day of the Tatsumi International Pool in Tokyo.

The session included final rounds of the 100m backstroke, 200m butterfly, and 200m Individual Medley (IM).

The first layoff of the session was 100m backstroke, where Terakawa remained dominant over her challengers and emerged on the victory stand for gold medal by touching the wall in a time of 59.10 seconds.

Her title claiming effort remained nearly one and a half body length ahead of Shiho Sakai, who clocked an effort of 1 minute and 00.50 seconds for silver medal.

The third position of the discipline was obtained by Noriko Inada, who stepped on the victory stand for bronze medal by clocking a time of 1 minute and 00.57 seconds.

Next was the 200m butterfly final, where Hoshi showed no leniency to her competitors and tapped the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 04.69 seconds.

Her title claiming effort was chased by Masami Uchikoshi, who remained nearly three body lengths slower from her and reached the finishing end for silver medal by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 09.24 seconds.

Similarly, Yuka Katou occupied bronze medal of the discipline as she completed her race in a time of 2 minutes and 09.57 seconds.

Hiroko Sugino was the fourth best swimmer of the event as she concluded her race with an effort of 2 minutes and 10.51 seconds.

In the meantime, Izumi Katou conquered top spot of the discipline by clocking an effort of 2 minutes and 11.79 seconds. She remained considerably ahead of Miho Teramura, who ended second in the event by touching the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 12.98
seconds.

Teramura was followed by Emu Higuchi, who earned bronze medal of the discipline by producing an effort of 2 minutes and 13.81 seconds.

Furthermore, the championships will end on April 8 after the completion of all listed events while the winners were awarded medals for their phenomenal efforts.
