Terrorism proving to be a malignant cancer for Pakistan

If the Pakistani nation thought that the nightmare was over and that they had finally gotten rid of the militant insurgency, they were wrong. Much to everyone’s dismay, they are as powerful as ever, filling fear into the hearts of millions of innocent people.

The high security risk in Pakistan often makes the nation wonder if the war against terror is bringing any results. The fact that the combined strength of the Pakistan and NATO army are failing to deliver a serious blow to the militants is an alarming sign for everyone as it making it obvious that the villain is way too strong to be put down.

The heroics of both Pakistan and its ally are proving to be futile, sending the nation into despair. If the iron-will of the Pakistani army and latest technology at the disposal of NATO forces is not enough to curb the threat that not only threatens Pakistan’s very existence, but also poses an imminent threat to the entire world, then one is compelled to feel helpless and afraid.

Pakistan has suffered immense loses ever since catching the eye of the terrorists. Allegedly, the militants are trained on the Pakistani soil and exported to other countries in order to spread fear across the border. Agencies such as the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) are regularly brought under the spotlight, questioned over their role in the setting up of militant training camps. While the intelligence agency has rubbished the accusations countless times, the international community is refusing to give them a benefit of doubt.

The Pakistani nation have often expressed their concern over the role of India in Afghanistan, asserting that its hostile neighbour is not only funding the militants, but presenting them in a way to malign both the country as well as the religion.

There are too many conspiracy theories circulating around at the moment. The nation can only hope that the real culprit behind the surge in terrorism in Pakistan is located soon and brought to justice.
