Jordan Harrison and Mack Horton conquer gold medal – Australian Age Championships

Jordan Harrison and Mack Horton conquered gold medal of their respective events on second day of the Australian Age Championships in Brisbane.

The 16-year-old Harrison conquered gold medal of the Boys 400m freestyle in his age category as he hit the wall with the timing of 3 minutes and 56.44 seconds for gold medal.

His effort was followed by Sean Maloney, who stayed one body length behind him and hit the wall with an effort of 3 minutes and 56.44 seconds for silver medal.

Maloney was followed by Alexander Graham, who secured bronze medal of the discipline by ending his swim in a time of 3 minutes and 59.42 seconds.

Subsequently, Horton remained prominent for gold medal of the Boys 100m freestyle as he hit the wall with the timing of 51.34 seconds. His effort was trailed by Edward Marks, who occupied silver medal of the event and tapped the wall with the timing of 52.28
seconds.

The third spot of the discipline was secured by Cameron Jones, who remained just a nail away from overpowering his former finisher and clocked a time of 52.29 seconds for bronze medal.

Similarly, Nic Groenewald won gold medal of the Boys 14 year Olds 200m backstroke. With his magnificent efforts, he remained prominently ahead of his competitors and clocked a time of 2 minutes and 05.36 seconds for gold medal.

Groenewald was followed by Tristan Ludlow, who stayed almost four seconds behind and posted a time of 2 minutes and 09.37 seconds for silver medal. Ludlow was chased by Damian Fyfe, who ended his swim in third place by posting a time of 2 minutes and 10.38
seconds.

Next was the Boys 200m Individual Medley (IM) in Boys 12-13 age category, where Oliver Moody snared top position of the discipline with an effort of 2 minutes and 14.51 seconds. Moody was trailed by Matthew Wilson, who occupied silver medal of the discipline
by touching the wall in a time of 2 minutes and 17.39 seconds.

Alan Gibson claimed bronze medal of the discipline as he hit the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 17.55 seconds.

The session ended after the completion of all events while the winners received accolades at medal ceremony of the championship.
