Arsenal’s star, Theo Walcott said that his impressive run of form is down to playing without fear. He netted his 11th goal of the season at thier last match against Wolves.
The Middlesex native displayed his top notch performance against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium, ultimately leading his side towards the glory. He scores the second goal of the match in the 11th minute, subsequently solidifying Arsenal’s winning position.
“I’m 23 now and I am still growing. I am not afraid of getting hurt," Walcott was quoted in an interview to Arsenal Player. "A few years ago I had shoulder injuries, ankle problems and back problems and that was just me learning the other side of the game.
Now I am just going into games and enjoying myself, not being scared of anything. The manager always tells me not to be afraid going into tackles. I am a totally different Theo Walcott now.”
Arsenal availed the first opportunity in the ninth game when Sebastian Bassong made a terrible tackle against Walcott, awarding the visiting side a penalty. Robin Van Persie impressively chipped in the penalty with Hennessey diving underneath it as it slots
into the right corner.
"We are playing great football and it’s nice to be part of that and not on the treatment table," the former Southampton star further commented.
Yossi Benayoun mustered the score line further by riffling in the shot into the bottom left-hand corner. As a result, the Red Army jolted down an impressive 3-0 victory at their opponent’s home ground.
Arsenal will square off against Wigan Athletic at the Emirates Stadium on 16th April.
