Bipasha Basu and Rana Daggubati are just friends and nothing more!

India’s very own bong beauty Bipasha Basu ended up with John Abraham in early 2011 but since then she has been constantly linked with several men. She was being linked with Hollywood superstar Josh Harnett and then Shahid Kapoor was being suspected as her boyfriend. However, the latest twist, as per certain reports, is Bipasha’s ‘close friend’ and her ‘Dum Maro Dum’ (2011) co-star, Rana Daggubati.

These days Bipasha, now 33, is locking headline because of Rana, as many out there believe they are more than ‘just friends’. Nevertheless, when asked Bipasha, she immediately rejected all reports and confirmed that Rana is just a friend to her and there’s is nothing more to it.

“Rana and I keep in touch over the phone, between Hyderabad and Mumbai, almost every day. So I don’t know where these things (talks) come from. Honestly, he is a very good friend of mine,” said Bipasha.

“Such stories are simply bizarre. First, they patch us up, and follow up by reporting a break-up. Then, if we are spotted in public, we’re tagged as friends. And strangely then, a few days later, we are no longer friends! It’s fine with me, but you shouldn’t read too much into everything,” she insisted.

“Well, Rana was a friend during Dum Maaro Dum and he continues to be so. Whenever he is in Mumbai, we catch up with one another. And we also stay in touch when we are in different cities. And that’s about it. There’s nothing more to it,” said Bips.

Bipasha, who is currently busy shooting for ‘Raaz 3’, remained in a long relationship with the actor Dino Morea before getting along with John Abraham.

The actress is now single and she is pretty happy with the way she is. Bipasha stressed that she will let everyone know whenever someone will come into her life.

“Right now, I don’t have time for anyone else, but myself. And this is a good thing, because it’s keeping me really happy. But if something happens on that front (a new relationship), I would tell everyone,” remarked Bips.

Apart from the movie, Bipasha Basu is also busy in putting together a new set of her fitness DVDs, which she said will be out later this year.
