The president of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and the former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has once again demanded for immediate general elections in the country saying the masses are not ready to give any time to the incumbent PPP government.
While addressing a joint press conference with former Senator Enver Baig, who announced his joining the PML-N, the former premier said that as long as the present government remains in power, problems for the nation will increase manifold.
Soon after joining PML-N, Enver Baig was nominated on party’s Central Working Committee. Asked about the decision, Nawaz Shareef said, “Enver Baig is in contact with us for a long time and he was concerned over present government’s policies.”
Explaining his party’s decision to boycott of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS), the PML-N chief said that they had boycotted the PCNS in protest against price hike of petroleum products but later decided to end the boycott as N-League feels all parties should sit together on national issues.
“Prime Minister Gilani also called me on phone seeking end of boycott of the national security committee and we also feel that we need to sit together on national issues,” said Nawaz, adding that they have once again made it clear on PPP and its allies that they will not compromise on their earlier stance on this matter of national importance.
