Islamabad: (Monday, April 16, 2012) The Supreme Court of Pakistan here today gave final deadline for tomorrow to the provincial government of Balochistan to produce the three missing persons before it pertinent to the case of law
and order situation in the province.
Resuming with the hearing, headed by chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary, a three-member bench heard the case.
Expressing its discontent over the very slow development in finding out the missing persons, the bench also showed its displeasure over the absence of Inspector General of Police (Balochistan) in the court.
In today’s hearing, the chief justice ordered the authorities to record and produce Zafar Zehri’s statement regarding involvement of the ministers in cases of abduction for ransom.
The chief justice remarked that the police officials, including the IG were aware of the missing persons’ whereabouts. He, thus, directed the authorities to produce the missing persons by tomorrow and there would be no extension
to the deadlines.
The hearing of the case will now resume on tomorrow.
