Islamabad: (Wednesday, April 18, 2012) The federal government has decided to change portfolios of some of the sitting minister as well as to induct some new ministers to the cabinet.
Today, in an oath taking ceremony here at the President House, President Asif Ali Zardari administered oath to five Federal Ministers and 10 Ministers of State. The ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani,
Cabinet members, parliamentarians and senior government officials.
Amid this change, Qamar Zaman Kaira will now look after the affairs at the ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Rana Mohammad Farooq Saeed Khan is to take charge of the Environmental Change, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has been handed
over with the Ministry of Information Technology and Nazar Mohammad Gondal will look after the Capital Administration and Development.
Moula Bux Chandio and Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan will respectively take charge of the Political Affairs and the National Regulation and Services.
Among ministers of State, Nawabzada Malik Amad Khan took charge of the Foreign Affairs, Miss Raheela Baloch appointed as minster for Science and Technology, Tasneem Qureshi was given charge of Water and Power, Malik Azmat Khan
to take care of Inter-Provincial Coordination, Syed Sumsam Ali Bokhari as minister for Information and Broadcasting, Imtiaz Safdar Warriach as minister for Interior and Moazzam Ali Jatoi for Food Security and Research.
