The most cumbersome aspect of the laptops is that its portable and yet it isn’t. Its on-field usage is something that is of risk to the employers. Due to the delicate structure and different parts moving about to work their jobs, a laptop is prone to a minor to medium damage in every ten field trips.
On the other hand, a tablet gets rid of the hinges and physical keyboards and its slim structure is easy to handle. Due to the rugged nature of the device, it can be easily placed inside a shoulder bad, a backpack or even a lady’s purse, see how handy are the 7-inch tablets are.
On the other hand, laptops are so gigantic to keep up with the pace of today’s business and due to its proneness to damages and the tablets’ nature otherwise; the employers are giving the latter option some serious thoughts.
Windows 8
Microsoft is on the verge of releasing its tablet-oriented new operating system, Windows 8, which is expected to arrive in the fall this year. Although the arrival of Windows’ tablet version is a little late in arena, the reviews of its beta version range from good to better than Android. Some even tout it to be better than iOS due to the option of traditional Windows 7 interface.
Many tablet manufacturers and vendors have already put Windows 8 project in the pipeline and soon after the official release of operating system, they are going to roll out their respective slates adorning the Win8.
Due to fact that most of the enterprise networks are Windows-based and indent toward the tablet culture is going to create a ripple in the market in favour of Win8. Windows 8-based tablets will surely be a better option a replacement of the Windows-based laptops and desktops on the network.
