Simon Cowell hints on Britney Spears joining the X Factor

The TV mogul has hinted that singer Britney Spears may be joining the reality show for its second season. He insisted that it would be great for the show as Britney is a huge star in the United States with great fan following.

If reports are to be believed, Britney Spears will be joining the show for its second season. Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, who had judged the first season of the show, will not be part of the next season and Spears is set to take one of the vacant positions.

Cowell stated that it would be excellent to have the singer on the show. He voiced his admiration for the ‘Glee’ actress and admitted that it would be wonderful to sit next to her on the panel.

“I would love to have her on the show. I think she would be a fascinating person to sit next to,” he was quoted as saying.

On the other hand, former judge and singer Nicole Scherzinger insisted that Britney would be a valuable addition to the show. She claimed that the singer would bring a whole new dimension to the competition and would be a great mentor.

“Britney is so bubbly and warm and everyone loves her anyway, so she just has to be herself. I think that it’s something that we can’t deny, but there’s something about Britney that we… are always rooting for her and behind her no matter what,” she concluded.

Britney Spears is reportedly being offered a $15 million contract for the second season of the X Factor.
