The project will finally start after constant delays in production and is expected to release somewhere next year.
Jackman claimed that he is very excited with the project and admitted that it will be a dream shooting for the movie in Australia. He insisted that it is a great concept and is confident that the end product will definitely be brilliant.
The ‘Real Steel’ star thanked the Australian government for giving the production house the permission to shoot the film in the country and added that the production will surely benefit the country’s tourism.
“I couldn’t be more excited to return to Australia to film the next chapter in the Wolverine saga, thanks to the significant support from the federal and NSW governments,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Jackman further added that he is looking forward to working with some of the most talented people in the industry and feels privileged to be part of such a project.
“It will be great to work with the highly talented crew and to provide employment opportunities to so many people across all levels of the industry. Not to mention, [wife] Deb and I will get to spend some time with the family back in Australia,” he concluded.
The sequel was set to start filming in October last year but the schedule was shifted to 2012 as Hugh Jackman had to film for the big-screen version of the movie Les Miserables.
