Samsung to roll out Galaxy SIII in the first week of May, 2012

Gone are the days when only the iPhone used to have an exclusive event for its launch. Even Apple has moved forward with separate events organized for the release of iPad and Mac devices. What’s more is that Samsung has followed the suit and is planning to release the successor of Samsung Galaxy SII in May, 2012.

The SIII or whatever the Korean company names it to be has earned all the respect it is about to get, mostly due to the successful business SII and its upgraded sister SII Skyrocket have earned in the last less than a year.

After iPhone, Galaxy SII is one of the most successful smartphones of 2011, and 2012 for that matter. Therefore, every successful venture is followed by two sensations, high expectation on the successor and rumours.

Since Samsung hinted at both Consumer Electronics Show and Mobile World Congress 2012, the rumour mill is in full swing and several telltales have surrounded the launch of the next Galaxy S instalment.

One of most anticipated feature of the new SIII, I will address the new handset by its most rumoured name, will adorn quad-core processor technologies. Experts speculate Cortex A9 quad-core chip in the smartphone. A source close of Samsung has reported that A9 will be the core processor .

“We haven’t gotten a lock on exactly which quad-core processor will be in this phone,” it reported, “but it seems like a reasonable guess that it’ll be the same 32nm Cortex-A9 based Exynos teased earlier this year.”

Word on the street is that the new Galaxy S child will be bigger and healthier. 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.0 are sure things that it will be equipped with. However, the screen is expected to grow 0.3 inches, diagonal, to 4.6-inches. However, no one is ready to issue a final verdict on the screen, but it can be said without a hint of doubt that it will be at least qHD and Super AMOLED.

The SIII is expected to be launched at Samsung’s “Mobile Unpack” event in London, scheduled on May 3, 2012.
