Human Cannibalism – Part 1

Cannibalism is the act or practice of eating members of their own species.

Usually the term is often used to refer to the act cannibalism in which a homo sapiens sapiens eats another, this being the only case in which there are both cannibalism and cannibalism. By extension, is also used to refer to the repair machinery and vehicles
through the reuse of parts of other similar machines.

The term comes from practice by the tribe Caniba or Caribbean, from the word cariba Caniba or used by the Taino that Columbus found in the island of Spanish in his first trip to America.

In isolated cases cannibals has been accused of enemy populations as a means of propaganda with which deprived from civilization or humanity. Thus the conquest, repression or any kind of inhumane and degrading treatment could be more easily justified morally
and legally. Another classic example of this trend would be the charge of cannibalism against Christians in the Roman era which facilitated its subsequent criminalization and repression.

The human cannibalism are small, about the social cannibalism, practiced by large populations of a widespread and accepted, is poorly supported by evidence. It seems proven the existence of ritual cannibalism as an offering to the gods or as a way to get
the strength and courage of the warrior enemy.

Also in famine situations is proven recourse to cannibalism. However, this latter practice is difficult to consider as social cannibalism because, in most cases, it has the acceptance of society in which it performs, but is the result of desperation and
need. In these cases usually eaten the bodies of the dead from other causes and is rare homicide for the cannibals.
