Grimm is produced by Universal Media Studios and Hazy Mills Productions. It was first aired on October 28^th, 2011 on NBC and is created by Stephen Carpenter, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf. It features an ensemble cast of David Giuntoli, Russell
Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch and Silas Weir Mitchell.

A fantasy American drama series, Grimm was announced in January 2011 by the NBC and the filming of the pilot episode began in March in Portland, Oregon.

The series is based on the stories of the Brothers Grimm. The story’s main character Nick Burkhardt is a homicide detective who learns that he is a descendent of a group of hunters known as ‘Grimms’. Grimms protect humans from the supernatural creatures
of the world. Burkhardt has giving task of keeping the balance between mankind and the mythological. A reformed “Big Bad wolf” Monroe becomes hi ally and help him hunt the evil creatures he once thought were only found in fairy tales.     

It received mixed reviews. Review aggregator Metacritic gave a score of 55 out of 100 based on reviews from 23 critics.   

Red Eye’s Curt Wagner gave it a score of 75 out of 100 and stated, “It’s dark, disturbing and a little downbeat–which isn’t a dis at all.”

Mary McNamara of the Los Angeles Times reported a rating of 60 out of 100 and stated, “All of which adds up to a nice, moody, entertaining-enough hour and the troublesome question of how interesting this will be by the third episode.”

IMDB gave the magical series a rating of 7.5 out of 10 based on 4,271 users.

Grimm might not be better than Once Upon a Time but it’s a good way to kill time with your loved ones.
