‘Agent Vinod’ was not a dream project insists Saif Ali Khan

The Bollywood heart-throb Saif Ali Khan’s debut home production ‘Agent Vinod’ failed to create magic at the Box Office. However, Saif, who played a lead role in the film, is not worried at all since he says he never considered the movie as a dream project.

The 41-year-old actor did a lot of promotion ahead of the film’s release, which also feature the industries ultimate diva and his real-life girlfriend Kareena Kapoor in a lead role. Saif clearly stated that he wants ‘Agent Vinod’ to become a franchise but now he says that he just wanted to show come up with a different idea and that’s it.

“To be honest I didn’t really look at Agent Vinod as a dream or anything. It was a film which came with a lot of intellectual ideas. I wanted to bring a new facet of the actor in me which has played quite a few comic and romantic characters in the past.

“The idea was to play a hero of a different kind and produce a quality product. That’s the kind of offering I wanted to come with,” Saif told PTI.

Saif Ali Khan currently has three films under his belt ‘Cocktail’, ‘Go Goa Gone’ and ‘Race 2’. The actor revealed he is feeling much happy these days because he has some good projects in his hands after a long time.

“These are exciting times and there are quite a few interesting films that I would be kick-starting soon. Race 2 is turning out well and with Abbas-Mustan at the helm of affairs, it is going to be a stylish and fun affair,” Saif said.

Well, all said and done, ‘Agent Vinod’, which was released on March 23, could have certainly collected some money at the Box Office but the ban which was put on it by Pakistan affected its revenues a lot.
