Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s son, Ali Musa Gilani, who, reportedly, escaped to South Africa to save himself from the Anti Narcotic Force’s allegation, has come back to Pakistan and today he appeared before an
ANF official to record his statement.
While recording his statement, Gilani junior denied his connection with the deputy drug controller Mohammad Tanvir, former director general health Dr Juma and former health secretary Khushnood Akhtar Lashari.
He also said that his phone was misused of which an investigation should be undertaken.
He further said that if be needed, he was ready to reappear before the ANF judicial. As Musa Gilani recorded his statement, Brig Faheem Ahmed and Abid Zulfiqar were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, both of these officials, after starting investigations against Prime Minister’s son’s alleged involvement, were removed by the Ministry of Narcotics Control.
Earlier, prior to appearing before the investigation officer, and while speaking to the media personnel, Musa Gilani said that he was not involved in the respective cases. He said, “I have no connection to this case…. I am not
an accused… I will repeat the same statement before the investigation officer also.”
He also said that although he had to appear before the ANF officer on April 30, but in compliance of the orders from Supreme Court, he was now appearing before the officer on April 26.
Earlier, while submitting a formal report before the Supreme Court, the ANF had formally nominated eight accused, including Musa Gilani, in the case, for their alleged involvement in the scam.
