Danny O’Donoghue: Nobody expected ‘The Voice’ success

The singer added that the show has been leading the popularity charts and is delighted to have been art of the singing competition.
Danny insisted that BBC, which airs ‘The Voice’, did not expect the show to do this well and admitted that the rivals are working hard for solutions now. He remained confident that the show will produce some of the most talented singers in the future and is looking forward to the Live Shows.
“Everyone loves a derby between two giants and I’m over the moon at the response we’ve had. The BBC knew it would do well, but not this well. I’m proud, too. Shows like this change the game in TV, bringing families back together around the box. It offers a real window into the industry and to artists in different stages of their career,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the judge admitted that he is nervous ahead of the Live Shows. He added that he has immense confidence in his team and wants to win the competition.
“I am [nervous], but if you thought it was good already, wait until you see these shows. We’re stepping up another notch and not just shaping voices but shaping artists,” he concluded.
The Live Shows will be telecasted this weekend.
